Artist Statement:
I view my photographic work as an exploration of the intimacy between the natural
world and ourselves; a reminder of the connections we already have, and the
playful communications that exist within every moment available for us to recognize.
Artist Biography:
I have worked throughout Northern Maine and Labrador as Maine Guide and environmental
educator. In 2005, I studied Photography at The Maine Media Workshops. The following winter, I
worked as still photographer on the documentary film "Keepers Of The Trail" produced by Juliet Brown.
In the summer of 2007, I was awarded a [photographic] fellowship through the Monhegan Artists
Residency Program on Monhegan Island, Maine. Currently, I work freelance, study large format
Black and White photography and printmaking with fine art photographer Paul Caponigro,
and operate
the time-lapse camera for "Between The Tides", a series of short films about
MidCoast Maine by Otter Island Films.
